About Crisis Center for South Suburbia
The Crisis Center for South Suburbia is a non-profit organization committed to providing emergency shelter and essential services to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. We serve thousands of individuals annually across the south suburban Chicago area, offering a comprehensive range of support services. · Develop and regularly update individualized service plans and safety plans.
· Provide weekly individual, family, and group counseling using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches.
· Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic support groups.
· Deliver domestic violence education to clients.
· Offer crisis intervention as needed & collaborate with other professionals as needed
· Complete and submit accurate documentation within required timeframes.
· Maintain compliance with CCSS policies, funder guidelines, and licensing standards.
· Update client master lists and ensure files meet internal and external audit standards.
· Participate in staff meetings,, aftercare services and PAIP victim outreach as assigned.
· Contribute to CCSS’s 40-hour domestic violence training program when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
· MSW-Social Work / MA/MS Counseling
· Clinical Psych or related field
· LSW/LCSW eligible / LPC/LCPC Eligible
· Trauma-Informed Therapy / DV/IVP advocacy/therapy

We are a non-profit community organization that provides emergency shelter and other essential services for individuals and families victimized by domestic violence and addresses the societal issues that contribute to domestic violence. With a staff of more than 50 employees and a budget of over four million dollars, the Crisis Center continues to grow while offering free services to Chicago’s south suburban communities.
