Position Summary
This role is part-time (15 hours per week) and does include evening and weekend hours.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager on daily priorities, projects, and sales goals
- Assist with verification of cash drawers and accuracy of reporting
- Maintain a $100 cash bank
- Support seasonal merchandising and product displays
- Ensure store and volunteer areas remain clean and organized
- Maintain an efficient and well-organized stockroom and sorting area
- Report facility or maintenance needs to the Store Manager
- Process incoming donations in a timely manner
- Research items to support accurate and competitive pricing
- Monitor daily pricing completed by volunteers
- Coordinate volunteer schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage
- Train volunteers on store procedures, tasks, and expectations using established checklists
- Educate volunteers on identifying high-value items (e.g., antiques, art, jewelry, furs) for manager review
- Assist in oversight of volunteers, including community service participants
- Ensure volunteer adherence to Neat Repeats policies and procedures
- Maintain regular communication with volunteers, including monthly check-ins
- Encourage participation in trainings and agency-wide events
- Attend monthly meetings led by the Retail & Resource Officer
- Deliver excellent customer service to donors and shoppers
- Participate in store-wide sales events
- Support initiatives to increase store revenue and profitability
- Complete and submit daily shift reports to the Store Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Driver’s License required
- 1–3 years of retail management and/or customer service experience
- Experience with cash handling and POS systems
- Experience working with volunteers preferred
- Knowledge of or interest in resale and retail trends
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong clerical and basic math skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
